'Tis the season for graduations on Facebook. These days my wall is flooded with announcements about little ones saying goodbye to kindergarten, changing schools and getting bigger and bigger each day.
They tug at the heartstrings, these innocent posts from people who are lucky enough not to realize that a little boy growing up is actually something to celebrate, not mourn.
I would give just about anything to have been blessed with that kind of luck.
And so it goes.

I sometimes want to post "at least you got to celebrate a graudation"....
I have to say I think "from the outside looking in" would be a great title for an childless blog...
Not just kindergarten... my two cousins on my mom's side each have a high schooler graduating, as does my mom's youngest cousin, & one of my friends from university. (At least, those are the ones I know about so far...!) Talk about feeling old... and completely out of step!
Big hugs Kristin. My word verification is "saucks". And it really does.
I guess there's really no end of the things that will remind us of where we are and weren't supposed to be. I try (really) not to let myself think about it, because when I do it's so profoundly disorienting, but I should have a child turning five this year - with several younger siblings. It wasn't supposed to be this way.

That is perfectly put. But in some ways the fact they don't realise how lucky they are is a little sad too.
Thanks for sharing a great blog
