No blog, just a blankie

I'm having a cloudy-headed sort of day where I'm wrestling with everything from how to stop eating the chocolate syrup I bought yesterday to figuring out what my purpose in life is (because how will I know if I've fulfilled it if I don't know what it is?).

So instead of trying to write a coherent blog, I'm just going to post photos of the blankie I made for the new baby next door. We didn't know she was a girl, so I had to go with gender neutral colours.

I'm dying to make a gender specific blanket, so I'd really appreciate it if the next friend or family member who gets pregnant could find out what they're having so I can crochet in pink or blue.

Because remember, it's all about me.

Anyway, here's blankie number three (a couple of shots because I stink at taking photos of blankies):

It's beautiful! I'm so jealous. I never got past the first row on a scarf, LOL. The video I was trying to learn from wasn't clear enough on how to go to the second row! What a great friend you are to create such a lovely gift!

You know what? Pink is overrated for girls anyway. I LOVE the colors!

(why do I forget that you crochet? you have to share more of your creations with me...cause it's really all about ME.)

That is so gorgeous!! I know you poured tons of time into it, and I hope it's appreciated as much as it should be! (((hugs)))

Um, perhaps you could make a very large blankie for me (I'm a girl by the way just so you can get the colours right).
I also wanted to let you know that the other infertiles and I have had a meeting and we have decided not to let you into the club.
In all seriousness, I think the one year mark is simply used as a delineation for when there might be a reason to start checking things like hormone levels. I'm actually a little tired of people who declare themselves infertile (after one year of trying) and then are pregnant within a month or two.
So please, make me more tired.

That is so beautiful! I have been learning to crochet recently, but am SO not that good yet.

By the way, we are having a girl if you need a new project.

Beautiful! I love the colors--lemony/limey! You're so thoughtful--I'm not sure if I could make a baby blanket for someone else right now. Unless it was for one of you guys :)
